Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Valuing Private Hospitals campaign?

Our campaign was conceived with the desire to raise awareness of the contribution private hospitals make in caring for Australians and supporting our health system. Without private hospitals, many Australians would not get the care they need when they need it. This Campaign provides a way for Australians to speak up and share why they value the choice and timely access to health care offered by Australia’s private hospitals. It dispels the myths that exist about private hospitals and profiles the great work we do every day in saving lives and improving the quality of life for our patients.

Who is behind this Campaign?

The Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) is the peak national body representing over 270 private hospitals and day facilities. This Campaign supports the ongoing partnerships and advocacy APHA undertakes on behalf of its membership. However, the aim is to provide a platform for the community to share their stories about why they value private hospitals and the vital role we play every day in caring for Australian’s health.

How can I get involved in the Valuing Private Hospitals campaign?
