I attended the Sydney Adventist Hospital at Wahroonga beginning of last year, I was very sick, and had 3 operations. I have experienced private and public, and definitely highly recommend the SAN at Wahroonga, the staff care. I loved the peaceful bush setting the lovely caring staff and relaxing environment.

At 41 discovering I was pregnant for the first time I visited my obstetrician who asked what hospital I had chosen. I thought you made that decision when labour started... like in the movies! My ignorance meant my options were limited but North Shore Private Hospital made the experience memorable!

Going in for a tubal ligation reversal fourteen years after having my last child was a bit daunting. The staff and medical team that looked after me were very helpful and understanding with all my needs. The operation was successful as I now have a healthy baby boy.

Six weeks in Private Hospital was a very stressful time due to the nature of my condition, but I received great comfort knowing I was receiving excellent care in a very comfortable room. If I'd been in a public hospital my stress levels would've increased and my condition worsened.
-
When I was pregnant with my first child I was in an immense amount of pain so I was told I needed a scan to rule out eptopic pregnancy and the only place that could ease my worries straight away was St John of God's ultrasound unit.
-
Different customer service than public hospitals - polite, friendly, organised, more trained. When I was sick, a private hospital took me in when there was no beds available in a public hospital.
-
When I had to have a lump removed from my skull I was able to get into the hospital straight away and I had a private room and the service was great. I don't know where I would have been without the private hospital!
-
Being a private patient I was able to quickly receive my operation, having such a short wait prevented me from the stress of an upcoming operation.
-
Well a few years ago my young nephew was found to have an anurism, he had a 50% chance of surviving the operation, thanks to a private hospital in Sydney we still have a nephew alive and well.

Thank God for private hospitals. After a high school swimming carnival I was rushed to a Private Hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Checked in, whipped out and back to school to finish my HSC in 2 weeks.
