I find that in public hospitals there are a lot more training doctors. Some wrongly diagnose patients and leave them to suffer for longer than necessary. Private hospitals have more specialists that deal with specific health problems which help solve health issues more efficiently.

Having my first baby in a private hospital and not being kicked out after 1-2 nights was a saviour. Gave me time to get my milk in and bond with the baby. It was great having the one on one time with me 2nd & 3rd babies also.

2010 I went private. OMG! "HOW DIFFERENT" going to a Private Hospital. I cannot believe the treatment and care I received. From the specialist to those lovely ladies bringing meals, cups of tea. I truly felt like a "HUMAN BEING" a "REAL PERSON". Not being discharged too early. I'm more healthy

After three days labour with my firstborn I was transported to St Vincents at 1am, severely exhausted. The nurse took care of me, then took him on geriatrics rounds to visit, letting me sleep. My baby LOVED the attention, so did the other patients and I got to sleep!!!

On Christmas Eve my son 15 yrs seriously hurt his ankle. We went to the Caboolture public hospital it was going to take 6 hrs. We waited for an hour, then went to the private hospital next door and we were x-rayed, plastered and out 1 hr later.

I had surgery on my left arm on 01 September at St. Vincents Private Hospital Sydney. The staff were exceptional before and after my surgery. I sincerely believe that I would not have had the same quality care with the public hospital system. I highly recommend private care as essential.
