With a genuine phobia for anesthetic my previous experiences in Public Hospitals were less than reassuring....but my Private Hospital stay was so different....thanks to kindly staff, a sympathetic and caring anesthesiologist with a pre-med that calmed and relaxed, THIS hospital experience turned from dread to delivery!

My grandfather has been in and out of hospital for the past few months, and the care he has received in a private hospital has been second to none.

Always thought private hospitals were for rich people, too good for public systems. Then I had to get private cover, much to my surprise, the staff, doctors and patients were amongst the most friendly people I have ever come across. It made a difference in me not to judge others.

It was my first time in hospital and had never had surgery before. So I was very apprehensive, but all the staff, from the doctors to the meal service providers made me feel safe and relaxed. So if I'm ever a 2nd timer I'll feel great.

When an organ of mine wouldn’t stop grumbling, I chose an operation at a private hospital. Being sick is never fun; however, being sick in a pleasant environment, surrounded by happy staff made all the difference. Having experienced private and experienced public, I can say with absolute confidence: go private!

I had a baby girl by caesarean section at John Flynn Private and they were wonderful. I truly believe if I didn't have a specialist doctor, midwife and wonderful nursing care my little girl wouldn't be here today. So thank you John Flynn Private Hospital.

They've made a difference over and over again, not as a patient but the care received as a family member upon the death of a patient has always been outstanding.

My young daughter had a severe but treatable hearing loss which was negatively affecting her development. The public system waiting list meant she would have started school before she could get help. At a private hospital she received immediate surgery and was given the gift of hearing.

We used day surgery at a private hospital for the removal of my daughter's wisdom teeth. The care was excellent from the admission desk to the pick up afterwards. It was only a short drive from home; no city traffic to negotiate and free parking! Excellent.

Not a dramatic story, my first two children I had in a public hospital where I was rushed in and out within 24hrs. We had our last baby private, and by far was the best decision. The staff were lovely & we were able to stay for 5 days.
